CareHub is a personal tool for caregivers and family members to organize bills, appointments, medications, documents, tasks, and notes related to a loved one in their care.
Health information & HIPAA notice
CareHub is a personal organizational tool. It is not a Covered Entity or a Business Associate under the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and it is not HIPAA-compliant. Do not use CareHub to store or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) on behalf of a hospital, clinic, insurer, or other HIPAA-covered organization. Any health-related notes, medications, or appointments you enter are entered by you as a private individual organizing information for your own use.
What we collect
- Account information (email, display name, password hash) needed to sign you in.
- Care data you enter: bills, appointments, medications, notes, tasks, property and tenant info, vehicle info, account balances, and uploaded files.
- Photos and documents you upload, stored privately in our cloud storage.
- Basic technical data: browser type, IP address, and timestamps used to keep the service secure and diagnose errors.
- Billing metadata (subscription status, plan) from our payments processor Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
Your data is used only to power the features you see in the app: showing reminders, summarizing your day in the assistant, and sharing access with members you've explicitly invited. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train third-party advertising models.
Cookies & local storage
CareHub uses cookies and browser local storage strictly to keep you signed in, remember preferences like your bottom-bar favorites and AI toggle, and process payments through Stripe. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
AI assistant
When you use the assistant or the "scan a bill" feature, the relevant snippet of your data or the photo is sent to an AI provider to generate a response. The provider may log requests for abuse prevention but is contractually prohibited from training on it. You can turn AI off completely at any time from the Account page.
Sharing & access
Only members you invite to a care profile can see that profile's data. Financial data (bills, accounts, documents) is restricted to Owners. You can remove members at any time.
Your rights & account deletion
You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Account settings. Deleting your account:
- Permanently deletes the personal care profile you own and every record inside it (bills, notes, appointments, medications, tasks, vehicles, properties, financial accounts, tenants, and documents).
- Permanently deletes every file you have uploaded (photos, PDFs, audio, registration and insurance cards, rental agreements, note attachments) from our storage.
- Cancels any active paid subscription and detaches your payment methods from our billing processor.
- Removes your sign-in credentials.
Care profiles owned by other people that you were invited to are not deleted; you are simply removed from them. Account deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
